# Getting Started — Employees

<Info>
  This guide is for **pharmacy staff** who have been added to PharmaTools by their account manager. You do not need to sign up — your account has already been created for you.
</Info>

## What to Expect

When your account manager adds you as an employee, you will receive an **email containing a randomly generated passkey**. This is a temporary passkey for your first login.

<Note>
  The pharmacy login credentials (email address and pharmacy password) are shared across all staff. Ask your account manager for these if you don't already have them.
</Note>

## Logging In for the First Time

Go to [pharmatools.ca/signin](https://pharmatools.ca/signin) (or visit [pharmatools.ca](https://pharmatools.ca) and click **Sign In**). All three credentials are entered on a single login screen:

<Columns cols={3}>

  </Card>

  <Card title="Pharmacy Password" icon="asterisk">
    The **shared pharmacy password** used by all staff. Ask your account manager if you don't have it.
  </Card>

## Changing Your Passkey

Once logged in, you should update your passkey to something personal and memorable. Your passkey is your individual identifier — it is how PharmaTools logs which staff member performed which action.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Settings">
    Click the **Settings** icon in the left sidebar navigation.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Go to Profile">
    Navigate to the **Profile** section within Settings.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Update Your Passkey">
    Scroll to the **Profile Passkey** section. Enter your current (temporary) passkey, then enter and confirm your new passkey. Click **Update Passkey**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  Do not share your passkey with colleagues. Each staff member should have a unique passkey — this is how your pharmacy maintains an accurate activity log of who did what.
